Jean-Pierre Laborde
Jean-Pierre Laborde is a self-made lucky man. Born in Biarritz, in an area with world-famous charms, his childhood was immediately placed under the sign of motorsport. His father, a lover of boats and sea, introduced him quickly to the technological developments of the era, seeing his first planes and cars. It will thus be lulled tales that tell how the first aircraft took off from the “Chambre d’Amour” or how the first seaplane took off against the waves of the “Grande Plage”.
At a time when everyday cars - for the good of all – sanitized and ecological, I am sure that like me, you consider that a car can also be a source of pleasure before being a way of transportation. Executive in an international industrial group, I noticed during professional travels that passion for cars was also a remarkable bridge between cultures and countries. Some events, such as the Goodwood Revival in Great-Britain, the Bremen Classic Motor Show in Germany, without forgetting the Le Mans Classic, attest to this common passion between the various European Countries.

But his dreams of a child are more than anything, haunted by car racing channels and the first rally Paris-Madrid. The “concours d'elegance” automobile, which take place in the 30's in the “Pavillon Royal” from the “Chambre d’Amour”, or at the “Hotel du Palais”, complete anchor in him a genuine passion for motorsport. Jean-Pierre Laborde now has to his credit more than forty-year career in the automotive industry. An experience at the service of prestigious brands, in the forefront of which BMW, of course (Car Dealer since 1955), but also Volkswagen, Chrysler, Range Rover, not to mention his first love for Daf, Triumph, Glas or Autobianchi . From these multiple influences was born willingness to publish this site. Its aim? To share his love of the Basque Country (and especially Biarritz!), Automotive and classic cars, cigars and chocolate, Spain, golf and basque pelota. So many activities and entertainment performed as a true "amateur", as defined our precious dictionary (amateur nm, from the Latin word amator: a person who loves, cultivates an art, a science for his sake [and not by profession] , which placed end to end, make us good living lighted.
