Description

Alpine A610 Turbo

Biarritz Sports And Classic Cars (BSCC) is pleased to present this Alpine A610.

The last model to leave the Alpine workshops before its recent resurrection, the A610 was intended to be the ultimate incarnation of the Norman company and its expertise in aerodynamics. It was presented at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show as the fastest production Alpine in the brand's history.

Equipped with a 3-litre V6 Turbo PRV engine developing 250 bhp and a rear overhang, the A610 stood out for its stability, a major issue of previous Alpine productions, thanks to careful work on weight distribution.

Alpine's positioning was brand new at the time: to offer a premium 4-seater coupé capable of competing with the 911s of the same era.
The finish was also a new challenge for the brand. Standard equipment included electric windows, power steering and ABS. The only options were leather upholstery and a Pioneer Radio player.

The example we are offering for sale is one of the very last chassis to leave the Dieppe factory in 1995. It was a very limited production run of 785 examples, apart from a few Albertville and Magny Cours examples, and here you will find number 776 in a striking Scarlet Red colour, a true collector's item.

This Alpine has only had 2 owners, the last of whom bought it from an Alpine employee less than 2 months after its 1st registration!
The leather option and the Pioneer option are part of the car's initial package.
However, the car radio has been replaced by a more recent model.
The maintenance booklet is present, as are the service records for up to 100,000 km.

Behind the wheel is a stereotype of the early 1990s. A noisy, spirited turbo that kicks in suddenly after 2,500 rpm. When cornering, the position of its engine is reminiscent of the sensations found in Stuttgart's rivals...
