Gimson Skipper Trial
Biarritz Sports And Classic Cars (BSCC) is pleased to present this Gimson Skipper Trial 49cc.
The Gimson Skipper Trial is a trial-type motorcycle produced by Gimson, a Catalan brand active mainly from the 1950s to the 1980s. Gimson, short for Gimbernat i Sons S.A., was known for its small motorcycles and mopeds, which were very popular in Spain.
The Gimson Skipper Trial was designed as an entry-level bike for trial riding—a technical off-road motorcycle discipline focused on balance and precision. Its lightweight frame and modest engine made it ideal for beginners or young riders.
In terms of heritage, the Gimson Skipper Trial is today a symbol of the small Spanish trial bikes of the 1970s. It belongs to the golden era of many Iberian brands such as Bultaco, Montesa, and Ossa, which then dominated the global trial scene.
It is powered by a 49cc single-cylinder 2-stroke engine, paired with a 4-speed gearbox.
This rare example, dating from 1971, features its original metallic orange paint, making it virtually one of a kind.
The bike is registered and ready to ride.
