The engine, a 4.2-litre V8 developed by Ferrari, produces 400 bhp and is derived from that of the F430.
The same goes for the Cambiocorsa gearbox (robotised dual-clutch manual gearbox), which is shared with Ferrari, notably on the F360 and F430. This F1 gearbox is either despised or adored, but leaves no one indifferent.

It is the fastest saloon of its generation, with a top speed of almost 300 km/h.

This Maserati was sold and delivered new by Cornes in Japan.
